In this class you will have the opportunity to improve your creative writing skills through discussions on the elements of the craft including setting, imagery, sensory language, dialogue, characterization, and plot.
Wednesdays, January 28th to March 25th
10am to 12pm
(No class 2/19 or 3/18)
Each week, Dee will present a short talk on one or more of these elements, as we learn together to sharpen these tools to enhance your writing. We will also read and discuss each other’s writing in a workshop setting and offer valuable feedback and suggestions.
Whether you write fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or memoir, you will find effective assistance and eager listeners. Students will record one of their stories (fiction or non-ficiton) that will be accessible on the Avenidas website.
