On Saturday, August 29th, we met at Cuesta Park in Mountain View at 10 am. Getting an early start is good idea during bad air quality days. That day it was Tom, Ernie, Bob, myself, and our newest member Rolando. Welcome to the group, Rolando.
The five of us walked about 3-4 times around the beautiful park that provided ample shade from the tall redwoods that grow throughout the park. The park had tennis courts, which we admired from afar, paved paths, open clean bathrooms, and free parking.
We have a great group of guys who I enjoy walking and talking with very much. I appreciate how welcoming and friendly the group truly is. It seemed to me that everyone was engaged in a conversation with someone else the whole time.
As we walked the park, I noticed that most of, if not all, the people in the park were wearing masks. Which was great to see. I also noticed that park staff were present. That made me feel that the park was very safe and clean.
