Together at last and maskless, the Avenidas Wise Owl Players deftly tackle the art of a play written as a Greek tragedy with catharsis for all. In this dramatic reading, the Owls perform the fictionalized drama of what happens seven years after the terrorist attack on a Pan Am flight over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988 that resulted in hundreds of deaths and shattered families all over the world.
In true Greek tragedy style, with a feminist twist, the women of Lockerbie restore a sense of love and healing to their community and to a heart-broken American couple who arrive for the 7th annual memorial of the horrific event.
This dramatic reading, as delivered by a senior troupe, resonates with our life-long experiences of love, loss, and hope.
