Stimulate brain growth by reading something new and participating actively in discussion. The group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, with a different book at each meeting.
Special Guest This Month
Bill Dedman, author of New York Times Bestseller, Empty Mansions: The Mysterious Life of Huguette Clark and the Spending of a Great American Fortune will join us for the first part of this month’s meeting to share photos that aren’t in the book, some audio of Huguette, and personal insights into the life of an American heiress.
He’ll get us up to speed on her foundation, plans for opening the home in Santa Barbara (Bellosguardo) for tours, and the sale of her doll collection. We’ll also hear about plans for a film or TV project! Join us for a fun discussion!
