Mukund Acharya, PhD
Healthy Aging Advocate
Mukund Acharya, PhD, is a healthy-aging advocate based locally. He is the Founder and ED of Sandhya’s Touch, a non-profit that provides grants to improve the quality of life of those dealing with serious or chronic illness. He co-founded Sukham, a non-profit that advocates healthy aging, living well and preparing for life’s transitions in the area’s South-Asian community. As a volunteer at Stanford Hospital and School of Medicine, he supports palliative-care efforts, serves as the patient voice on hospital committees, and is a Caregiver Support Coach, Spiritual Care volunteer, patient/family partner, and fall-prevention/balance instructor.
