We collectively stand against hateful rhetoric, racist thinking, bigotry, and xenophobic acts of violence. Our hearts, spirits, and minds are with our Asian American community members, both locally and nationally, many of whom feel unsafe in their own neighborhoods. We believe that none of us is safe until all of us are safe.
What can people do?
- Verbal and physical hate incidents can be reported to Stop AAPI Hate.
- Please think about checking on loved ones or neighbors who may need support.
- Start a Compassion Project in your community. Compassion in Oakland can get you started.
