People of all ages have re-engaged in the community by volunteering through the Avenidas Volunteer Corps. Volunteering feels great, and is good for your health, too! Our 450 volunteers contribute as actively as paid staff members to our programs at Avenidas, and have contributed approximately 22,000 hours in the last year helping the community. Avenidas values the input, productivity, time and energy of all our volunteers!
Whatever time, talent or inclination you might have, Avenidas can try to match you with one of our volunteer opportunities. Volunteering opportunities are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. We are not open on the weekends.
Avenidas Volunteer Corps programs include:
- Giving rides to seniors
- Tutoring children in our Early Literacy Program (see brochure)
- Teaching PC and Mac classes
- Administrative help and more!
- Volunteering at our Rose Kleiner Center
